Here's some stuff about me.
I’m a web developer and aspiring designer from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Also, I’m a geek. An ideal day at work consists of sitting at my desk, opening up Espresso and writing lines and lines of HTML and CSS.
I doubt anybody is that interested in much more about me, but I want to take up some more space. I graduated from college in 2005. It really wasn’t worth the money. Maybe it would be different if schools were more current in their web design curriculum. The one thing that my school did provide was a lot of time to pursue my interest in web design on my own (mostly while teachers were lecturing).
Over the course of many class periods, I was able to learn a ton about both designing and developing websites. It was funny sometimes to ask my teachers what they thought about things like Microformats and get blank stares back from them.
From there, I went on to start doing some contract work with a couple of Grand Rapids based web shops. After a few months of that, I was hired as a developer for Mighty where I get to do what I love on a daily basis.
